Spot's Sunday Entertainment Roundup

The past few weeks have been without any leisure reading and movie watching, but boy, I have hit the motherload on some t.v. viewing. Let's review, shall we?

The Dog Whisperer - National Geographic Channel has an enormous amount of great shows on. This show in particular has captured the attention of both hubby & myself. Cesar Millan is my new hero. That man has no fear when it comes to dogs with issues and I wish that I had known about him years ago when I had my issue-filled canines around. This show makes me want a dog again. Sigh.

The Smoking Gun Presents The World's Dumbest Drivers - Ok, in addition to some great tv, I've managed to waste time on some REALLY.BAD.TV. Let me spell it out for ya. This show appears on TRUtv, which is also the home of other gems like Disorder in the Court, Black Gold and Principal's Office. Don't waste your time. Please.

Top Chef: New York - I am so in love with this show. I love Tom Colicchio and his snide comments. I love all the crazy challenges where they prepare food that I wouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole. I just love it all.

House Hunters - I have a love/hate relationship with this show on HGTV. My nosy side loves to see other people's homes, but I must admit that I'm highly annoyed by the fact that in many episodes, people are searching for a vacation home that's usually in a price range that I can only hope to shop in if we win the lottery. Oh well. It doesn't keep me from watching!

Flip This House - I'm a big fan of A&E. It's the home of my favorite trainwreck show "Intervention". Flip This House is way less intense and even quite humorous at times. It shows the pitfalls of home flipping in many major cities in the U.S. I'm a little enamored by the boys from Atlanta. One of them is kinda cute. And Atlanta isn't too far from me. Just sayin.

All right, there's some t.v. ideas for you. Go forth and watch the tube!

I love HGTV and A&E. We watch a lot of Nat'l Geographic too. And in our house, TLC and The Food Network are on a lot.

My worst wasted tv viewing time in the last few months was spent on Bravo's Housewives of Atlanta. Puh-leeze! What a laughing mess. I couldn't stop watching though. It was a marathon and I was glued to the sofa. When it was finally over, I was embarassed that I sat up until 3am watching it. eeks.

I watch Top Chef too...loving Tom. But really why can't they just make something normal? I don't eat quail eggs for heaven's sake.

Oh what fun with the Dog Whisperer! He's hilarious (and have you seen the South Park episode with him? SOOOO worth it). And there are some children - a la SP - who could use his intervention style, too! ;)

I've never seen The Dog Whisperer.

I also have a love/hate relationship with House Hunters... for the same reason.

You got spam. How funny.

And the Dog Whisperer. He's the entire reason that my mother spent an ungodly amount of money for a stroller for the cats. Yes...a stroller for the cats.

My mother is also addicted to truTv. I came home today from running an errand - left Madalyn here with my mom - and the minute I walked in the door, Madalyn could not wait to tell me about her new fav tv show - the murder show :-)
