Product Review: Kiki's Nation swim wear for kids

Disclosure/Disclaimer: I was provided 2 products by Kiki's Nation for my unbiased review.  I did not receive any other compensation for this review nor did these free products influence my review in any way.

Summer is in full force and if your family is like mine, you try to stay cool by spending a lot of time at the pool!

On this particular outing to a local water park, my girls were ready to head back to the car when we decided to try out a new product that I recently received for review.

Kiki's Nation produces 3 lines of after swim wear that are sure to become favorites of kids and parents everywhere!  The skirts, pants and jammers are made of actual towel material, which is not only comfortable but absorbent.

I was sent the Multi Peace Sign Skirt for my youngest daughter and the Jammers towel shorts for my oldest daughter.  My girls loved the patterns and vibrant colors!  They also like the fact that the samples really fit their personalities.  My youngest preferred the skirt, while my oldest was more comfortable in the jammers shorts.  I really liked the facts that the clothing ran true to size and we arrived home with car seats that weren't wet!  The absorbency of the towel material was great and my girls have been asking me to be sure and pack their new cover-ups every time I pack a pool bag now.

The designs are fun and will appeal to a wide range of kids, young and older.  Kiki's Nation also produces some cute towel bags that would be fun for the pool or beach.  You should check them out on their website, Facebook page or follow them on Twitter!

June FMS PhotoADay Project

On my table.  Our kitchen table is normally full of emptied back pack contents, stray pencils & whatever papers haven't yet made it to the recycling bin.  This morning, the table also housed the dolls of 2 very excited girls who were ready for a first day of camp.

Progress Update on 101 Things in 1.001 Days

My goal is to update my progress monthly on my second round of the 101 Things in 1,001 Days project.  Here’s where I stand after January 2013.

13. Read 1 book every month - Jan 2013 “Diary of a Stage Mom’s Daughter”, “Fifty Shades Free” & “When You Were Mine”

74. Plan and go on a date with hubby every month for a year - Jan 2013 We went out for lunch & a movie for FREE thanks to gift cards & reward programs!

82. Enter at least 1 contest online every day for a month - In Jan 2013, I entered a Disney trip giveaway every single day.  I’m anxiously awaiting a FedEx truck to appear at my door with good news one of these days!

85. Send a bag of clothes to ThredUp - Completed January 2013

89. Organize the playroom and declutter it - Completed Jan 2013!  6 hours of work, but well worth it!

3 tasks complete and progress on 2 more.  I’m off to a good start!

Imagination Station

One of the things that I love most about our girls is their incredible sense of imagination. They create elaborate playscapes throughout our house and play for hours together with fits of giggles and maybe a squabble or 2.

I finally managed to capture one of their scenes before it disappeared. This is the night that a train arrived in our kitchen. And lucky for us, hubby and I got to take a ride on the train before it departed back into the minds of our little girls.

These are some of the memories that I hope never fade away.
