Well, I've been back on the weight loss bandwagon for a week now and I have some startling results. I wish I could say it was because I worked so hard and watched what I ate so carefully, but the truth is...I was sick. And couldn't eat. And therefore, here's the not so amazing results.
I managed to do my Couch to 5k Week 1 workout 3x last week. I had hoped to move on to Week 2, but that will have to happen later this week instead.
I did not begin my 100 Pushup Challenge workout. I can only plead weakness and time management woes prior to illness. That too shall begin this week.
And for Week 1, I lost 6.2 lbs overall. The number would be much more impressive had I not lost them as a result of the "dysentery diet".
My goals this week are to lose 1 lb, get in 3 C25K workouts and start my 100 Pushup Challenge.

Yea for you! I am jealous...make that envious... not of you being sick but dropping 6 lbs. I am going to go check out the challenge..because I REALLY need to do SOMETHING...
Congratulations!
Good for you! I start back with my water aerobics program next week. And I have really missed it. On the other hand, I totally and completely fell off the Atkins bandwagon. I spent the weekend indulging in cupcakes and donuts. And today I have to go to the mall to get my watch fixed. Guess what I am going to get there?? And it's all your fault :-)
You are doing well...keep it up.
I am doing well...eating right, exercising, drinking water...and I lost not one single pound last week. FRUSTRATING!
Congratulations - even if it was due to sickness.
I am impressed with the couch to 5K challenge...I had great plans to embark on that adventure...and then something happened, I can't remember what...hmmmm
Thank you for stopping by and sharing the love with me and my blog!
The good news is that even when you lose weight because of illness, some of it really is fat weight. So that's a good start, even if you regain a little once you're rehydrated completely.
Go get em! Unfortunately it appears that this week is my week to be sick, as I'm down with a terrible sore throat/respiratory something or other. I can barely speak :-( Ugh. Right in the middle of the week, too!
You go girl!! And glad to hear you're almost back to normal!!
Over six pounds lost?! You go, girl! I'm impressed. I need to get on the bandwagon...
That is great that you lost 6 lbs. you go girl!!! But I hope you feel better.
Don't be so hard on yourself...a pound is a pound is a pound! Just look at it as a nice little jump start...it's not like you didn't suffer!!
Ahhh yes.... the illness diet. No fun. Good job though getting stuff done when you weren't feeling well.
GOod luck this week!!!!
You go!!!!! I'm doing the couch to 5k right along with you and it's killing me!!! :) But 6 lbs no matter how you lost them is nothing to sneeze at!
Wow- that's an amazing first week. Now that the baby is 9 months, I don't think my 20 pounds can be called baby weight. :(
Great work OSB girl! I'm new to the group and just visiting about the members tonight. I've gotta go chech out the bouch to 5K thing.
Have a great rest of the week!
Hey, a loss is a loss, right?
I'm impressed that you managed to do your workout 3x last week, with yourself being sick and the girls... you go, girl!
You go girl.
Good for you! I have been such a skinny bitch slacker.. I think I lost a couple pounds in the beginning and then, well.... I'm off the wagon...
I like the couch to 5k plan... I might give that a shot.. I live in a great neighborhood for walking/running...
