It's giveaway time!

I've thought quite a few times over the last couple of months as to what kind of giveaway I could do. Since I like the idea of multiple winners, I've decided to offer 2 prizes. Here's the skinny.

1. The contest begins today, Aug. 17 and ends on Aug. 30.
2. The winners will be announced here sometime on August 31st.
3. The winners will be chosen by Random Drawing.
4. Limit 1 entry per day, per household. (Except a day that you choose the bonus entry option)
5. If you do not have a blog, then you must leave me your email addy in your comment. If I can't contact you via email or your blog, then you will be disqualified.
6. Contest is open to my readers from all over the world.
7. To enter, you must leave a comment on this post telling me what your favorite post is of mine. It can be something recent or something way back in the archives of greatness that you've discovered. I'm interested to hear your feedback!

Now, wanna know what you're playing for? Here's the exciting news!

1. First prize is a $25 giftcard to ONE of the following merchants: Barnes & Noble, CVS, Gap, iTunes, LLBean, Macy's, Old Navy, Pier One, Pottery Barn or Starbucks.

2. Second prize is a brand new copy of Rachael Ray's "Yum-O: The Family Cookbook". It's got some great family friendly recipes and some wonderful uses for leftovers that result in yummy meals.

So, take a look around, read some posts and leave a comment on this post telling me what little nugget of blogging brilliance is your top choice. I can't wait to read your comments! Good luck everyone and feel free to tell your friends. Oh yeah, and I'll give you an extra entry if you blog about my contest (and link back to this post) and then come back here and comment that you did that.

I love your Monday Eye Candy, of course, but I think one of my favorites is Some Perspective on Clutter which you posted on July 22. That was a cute one. I also liked one of your kid conversation ones, but I couldn't find it...I'll keep looking when I have more time.

So, I'm entered, right?

Keys to the Magic Travel said...

Okay...so I want to follow the rules. Not that I usually do. But apparently you have a Barnes and Noble gift card with my name on it. So rule follower I'll be. For now.

Favorite entry - off the top of my head - your meeting with River Phoenix.

Now, when I enter again tomorrow - do you want a new favorite post? :-) And you want it here right?

Hmm. I like the Monday Eye candy, but I also laughed out loud on your Thursday Thirteen when you made the comment, "Well, before I start singing Cat's In the Cradle..."
Bwahaha!

I particularly like when you post funny conversations/things your kids have done because they always make me laugh since I can really relate.

"Betty Crocker, Your Job is Safe for Another Day" This one totally made me laugh (no offense). I just think it's funny because I've heard a friend of mine (who works for a company that sells those cookie sheets) say there's no way you can burn on stoneware...HA!

Great blog. My favorite post is the Betty Crocker one. We use the PC stones for everything but I don't recall baking cookies on them. But you see, I like anything burnt so your first batch would have been my choice ROFL.

My fave recent one was the conversation with Big A about the chair/sofa!

Haven't been reading long, but I liked the post about your two special little ballerinas:

I absolutely love the one about the childrens museum. The pictures are adorable and the girls looked like they were having lots of fun. They are so cute.

I love your post about the Rachel Ray cookbook giveaway! I just love her, she's so funny and thinks up the best recipes. Thank you for offering it, I'd love to win.

I can relate to your Hermit blog! We have a gazillion channels BUT Mr. Sweetie is in charge of the remote (just because I'm nice that way.) Once he's away from the TV, all bets are off. Bridezilla, Who's Wedding, Nanny 911, any fluffy non-intellectual silly crap is mine all mine.

Your birthday list is right up there too.
Will happily accept gift card at your earliest convenience. Or sooner.

I have to agree with Rhea...Little A is too cute in "perspective on clutter"...made me giggle which is not very professional at work (neither is reading blogs, but we won't go there!!)

Day 2 entry. I am still liking the Christian Slater entry. But Monday Morning Eye candy...hmmm...that it right up there too.

Does that gift card still have my name on it? I think if you look closely, it's there.

I just found this blog and have been loving it...you are so down to earth!!!

Shannon said...

Ok, here is my entry for Tuesday! And I've mentioned you on my blog - so give me that extra entry!!! :)

I am loving the MMEC posts... all of them, I can't pick a fave one. Although I am partial to the one that featured Novak Djokovic... or the one with Edward Norton and Jeffrey Dean Morgan... or when you posted the pic of my future hubby Christian Bale...

Jules said...

That is so not fair to have to pick just one. i love them all, so there! LOL

I'm rather fond of "Danger, Will Robinson", simply because I spent several years living in the shadow of the large nuclear plant in Pickering, Ontario (near Toronto.) I had two tours of the facility while I lived there, which were quite fascinating. No doubt parts of me still glow from the experience.

Frankly, the most frightening aspect of the place was the gigantic CARP frequenting the Lake Ontario waters around the facility. Those fish were NOT normal. NOT.

And yes, you sucked me in. I put a link to your contest on my blog:

WHEN DID YOU MEET RIVER PHOENIX????? How did I miss that one? He was my very favorite back in the day. Delicious.

OK, moving on...
I like all your stuff, but I especially appreciated seeing a brand-new picture of my boyfriend last week. Yeah, Jason usually trumps all other subjects.

bookworm said...

Your Monday Morning Eye Candy post is pretty interesting. Love the pictures, those guys are awesome!

Jennifer said...

hmmm.. i'm not sure what one is my favorite... but i do like the one of your meeting River. that was really cool. :) i love the ones about your kids too though. :)

I liked your "Fun at the Children's Museum." Reminded me of when mine were little ones. I also love Clifford, so the picture of him got my attention. Great giveaway.

Keys to the Magic Travel said...

Day three entry. Ummm...still like River. And the MMEC. But you know another that stand out was when your daughter wore a white dress to a park birthday party.

CrystalChick said...

I'm always a little late getting started. Dang, haven't even read Monday Morning Eye Candy yet and it's Tuesday night.

Okay, so to enter your cool contest I'll tell you that I like 100 Things. And I have to tell my girlfriend about the pomegranate martini you mentioned cause I think she would love one!!

Jules said...

I'm back. LOL!

sky said...

Ooo...but I stopped by just in time for this :) YAY! That iTunes GC sounds yummy!

Nik said...

Oh my goodness! A contest! Well I have to say I love your Monday Eye candy but I love the dance pictures and post you did. Your girls are absolutely PRECIOUS!

bookworm said...

Your trip to the Children's Musuem looks memorable! How cute is that little one in Clifford's bowl? Definitely a Kodak moment!

Shannon said...

Ok...comment for Wed.

I'm going way back to your "100 things about me" post. Its always fun to find out new things about you.

Keys to the Magic Travel said...

Next entry. That gift card is mine. And I am going to copy Shannon. Because I forgot about the 100 things about me. I think it was one of the first things I read about you. And I couldn't get over how much we had/have in common. And I still haven't done my list. Because I am the queen of procrastination. And half assed jobs. Cause I do have 38 things on the list so far...

CrystalChick said...

I guess I'm right in coming back to enter again. I also like the Monday Morning Eye Candy but never usually read it on Monday. LOL

I saw some evidence of blogging brilliance when I read Monday Morning Eye Candy. You know what we like because those were some hot pieces of property there. I'm with you on Kyle Chandler, by the way. I spotted him way back when on Home Front and then followed him to Early Edition and beyond. He is some sweet sugar.

Of course your MMEC with Brendan Frazier is my favorite, but your Birthday List is 2nd cause my birthday is Sunday! From one Virgo to Another, hope you have a Great Birthday and get at least one of the items on your list!

Hmm, I like the idea of a list, might have to do that and see if hubbie gets the hint! Thanks for the idea!

Keys to the Magic Travel said...

Oh, another time to copy an answer. I really like that birthday 13, too. But, I really have a long Barnes and Noble list. The lis is unfortunately homeschooling books. And not fun stuff. But I am sure that I could find something fun. And spend 3x what the gift card is for. Just think how much we'll be helping the economy if I win...

Oh sure, do a daily entry contest on the week that I'm out of town so I don't get to enter as many times and tell you all the posts you do that I love! ;)

MY favorite post is the Grocery Game. It just made me giggle :)

My favorite is the post called Fun at the Children's Museum. I really like the pictures you included. Wish we had something like that in our area. Thanks! :)

Yay! Giveaway!

As a blogger who has posted more than once about the state of my apartment (it's not pretty) I like Decluttering Sunday - although your place looks alot better than mine. Really.

I also appreciated A Sad Day. Thank you for sharing that. I also quite dislike motorcycles and it's nice to hear someone speak out about their dangers at last instead of glorifying them!

Michelle said...

Ok, I'm back... shocker, I know. Another favorite of mine is the perspective in clutter. That's SO like something Little Miss would do!

Shannon said...

Well, crap... I missed an entry for yesterday.

I'm going with your post about meeting River Phoenix. 'Cause that is just too cool that you've met a celebrity and got an autograph.

I've never met anyone famous. My mom, however, has met Eric Estrada (remember him... from CHiPs!)

My fav is the post about the night you met River Phoenix! How lucky are you??!!!! Incredible.

Keys to the Magic Travel said...

I missed days. How did that happen?! But I am tellin' ya...that gift card still has my name on it. I walked through there on Friday. And planned how to spend my found "cash." And then some. And some more.

Still liking all those posts I've already mentioned. And then I can add this post - this one - with the give away. But I'll only like it if I win.

Definately, definately July 27th.. McYUMMY! Gosh I just adore your Monday Morning Eye Candy! And McDreamy (shiver, quiver, toe curl) I know I should so totally be over him already I've watched Grey's from the beginning, but he just does "it". So that's my vote! I love your blog btw!

Your parents letting you dress up as a French Maid made me feel better about letting my daughter go as a Geisha girl last year...
And yes...your MMEC is fun!
That's my vote.

I just discovered your blog, and let me say I LOVE the Monday Morning Eye candy. I subscribed to your feed because, well who couldn't use a nice bit of eye candy every Monday morning! :)

CrystalChick said...

I'm so bad at instructions and coming back at just the right time. LOL
But here I am and before I go read MMEC late again, I'll enter here again and say that A Night Out was a good read. I don't think I'll get to have any sex on the beach in Cancun later this year but the drink I'll have to try!
I love posts with pics! Not of sex, I mean with you and hubby. LOL
I think I'm having weird moments today. Disregard my comments and just enter me in the contest!!

So is your plan working? I hope so. I was going to mail your book today...but it's raining and I don't feel like schleping to the post office. You'll get it. Eventually :-)

Heh! I like your Best Buy post because you speak for all of us ( well, at least me) AND I love it when people stir things up!

I loved your post about Big A and Little A's haircuts. Neither one of them looked any too thrilled about it all. I can not believe how long their hair grows either. That's fascinating. Mine only ever grew about halfway down my back and stopped. Anyhow, they turned out looking really cute.

Angie vs. Best Buy...Round 2 is serious brilliance at work. Best Buy is a great store but they are harder than heck to work with when something goes wrong. I admire your fortitude in getting what you deserve. I can't wait to hear the next chapter.

Being I just read more of the BB saga, that'll be my fav for today's entry.
Both gifts are cool. Who doesn't love B&N? Rachel, eh, not so much but HUB loves her, so I'd give it to him as a gift and say guess who's cooking dinner tonight!! yum-o! ;)

I'm in there with blueviolet! Today it's Angie vs. Best Buy, Hey! Is this all some publicity stunt?
Are you working for Best Buy?
I can't wait to hear what happens tomorrow. When are you going? Is your dad going with you?
Stir it up.

Entry number what? You should so twitter your best buy experience. I have heard that companies lurk there. And hope to head off bad publicity.

Angie 3 Best Buy 0 !!!!
A winner of a post!
What a saga; I just love drama.
Congratulations!

Sarah said...

I'm entering again since it's been a while (and you said an entry a day is allowed). I enjoyed the whole series of posts on Best Buy. It's a bummer that "big companies" don't function so well. I found an online price for a camera for Best Buy, decided it'd be best to print it, and when we went to the store, the exact camera, by their "sale" was $20 more than the online price. Luckily my experience was good and they honored the cheaper price. A friend of mine had a similar experience to yours with Walmart....where do they hire these "experts."??!!!

LOVED all of the Best Buy posts!

And come by my blog... got another award for you!!!!

Noseying through your archives (And I'm okay with that; being nosey)
I found "There's no place like home", written after your DC trip.
It's my second favorite ( you know I love that BB saga; bring it on girlfriend) because I live close by and I feel the same!
We are frequent visitors of DC and I just cannot get enough.
Plus, it's the closest place to me that has a Schlotzky's!
Good post. Creative writing. I'm giving this one a four star.
