Today's entry comes from the book of "Big A is an incredibly bossy big sister".
This was back in June when I showed the girls their new pool for the first time. They were SO excited about our new deck entertainment. Big A (in true big sister form) decided to give Ailey LOTS of direction on the correct form and rules about sliding down into the pool. Little A doesn't even give her lip service most time. She just ignores Big A, which drives her crazy. It's really kind of humorous to observe.

This is my life each day....trying to control the bossy older sister and tell the younger sister to stop pushing the older one's buttons.
I like the moment caught on tape...err I mean film!
lol... Wren does the same to Mr Bump.
How on Earth do older siblings manage to grow up without an older sibling of their own to instruct them?
Oh wait! I was doing it then, because I only had one child to obsess... er, watch over. :P
It's so true how the non-bossy siblings will just ignore the bossys! It's like a pecking order of sort...when we raised horses when I was a kid it was exactly the same--the pecking order, just now I have it with kids!
Cute picture with her hand out there directing her!
I can't really comment...I was the bossy sister:-) Hee, hee, hee.
So cute! I can't wait to see them!! We don't have a slide at our pool but hopefully they will love it anyway, LOL!
That brings back good memories...now my boys will have nothing to do with anything less than 6 ft.
ah... gotta love older siblings. lol my son does this with his siters... but not as much maybe as a little girl would do... b/c i know my two girls are very bossy of each other. lol :)
great pool!! CUTE kiddos!!
and very nice deck! :)
xoxoxo
LOL !!!
My daughter used to do that. She was the youngest though, but she bossed her three brothers around like she was the oldest, especially her twin brother..
That's a cute pic and I great story to go with it!!
If I would ahve read the story before seeing the picture I would ahve sworn the picture would have been of me bossing my lil sis around.
I am the oldest, and I did this exact same thing...over and over again. I think we oldest kids think we are infused with extra know-it-all stuff. Just gotta share it. :-)
Found you on Candid Carrie.
Oh, the joys of parenting two girls. It's a Good. Time.
Happy weekend to y'all!
You couldn't have posed that picture more perfectly! The expressions on their faces... and they are so ridiculously gorgeous!
And it only gets worse the older they get (at least in my experience!)...
I agree with Shannon^^-- mine are 20 and 15--and they still boss each other around. I just let them work it out.
In my house it's the opposite. My youngest is the bossy one. But my oldest never hesitates to let the younger know she's wrong. Gotta love sister love...
I love those type of pools. Too bad I'm supposedly too big for them now! LOL
So c'mon. Do tell. Did you get in there with them too?
Hmmmm...sounds like my girls! EXACTLY like my girls!
Love the pic (and the validation that my family is NORMAL). :)
gah! I'm the oldest of five and I still have trouble holding my tongue and not being bossy. luckily I'm married to the most patient man in the world
