Big A: Where did you find Little A's cup?
Me: It was next to the Winnie the Pooh couch.
Big A: You mean the chair?
Me: No, the couch.
Big A: Mommy, that's a chair, not a couch.
Me: No, it's a couch. If it seats more than 1 person, than it's called a couch. The Winnie the Pooh thing in your room seats 1 person, so we call that a chair. Right?
Big A: Right.
Me: And how many people fit on the Winnie the Pooh thing in the living room?
Big A: Two.
Me: So, since it fits 2 people we call it a couch. Or we could call it a sofa too.
Big A: (long pause with her finger on her chin) Or we could call it a chair too.
Me: (hilarious laughter ensues after whacking my head on the table)
Big A: Are you ok mommy? What's so funny?
Me: Nothing honey. Let's just call it a chair.

Cute comments. Couch, chair, seat, it's all good.
At least she realizes they're all things you sit on, LOL! Too cute!
The head banging cleared your head to realize never argue with the kids...they never give up!!
Oh, my. Is this a sign of things to come for you? My youngest has conversations like this often with me. I do much head banging. And she's always right you know. (hence she is not homeschooled :-)
See, this is where I decide that children should be deposed for trials. You can't argue with them. You can't get them to change their minds. They're always right!
Cute. But there will be more head-banging in your future. Just wait! :)
That is too cute. I just love the way that kids see things.
You have successfully confused me too...lol.
Kids are so fun! Mine crack me up/make me want to bang my head daily!
Thanks for stopping by my blog that was featured on SITS today...love the header on your blog!
Have a great weekend,
Amy
Well if she just isn't an angel! Too cute!
We have a BIG chair and SMALL chair for classification purposes here.
There is no arguing with kids, no matter how right you are:)
Sometimes it's better just to go with it...although challenging them a little can give parents some WONDERFUL stories to share. Too cute!
Reminds me of some interesting debates I've had with my daughter.
