"Trim the Fat" Thursday

Greetings from Hilton Head! This week's update is going to be condensed for several reasons, the primary one being, I'M AT THE BEACH!! So, let's get right down to business.

As far as last week's goals, here's the recap.

1. I only got in 1 really good workout, but my motivation level is way high, so I know I'm going to do much better in the next week (especially after spending 4 days in a bathing suit looking at myself in the mirror. Yikes.)

2. I didn't do so well with keeping up with my food journal. I need an online tool to manage this.

3. I am joining Sparkpeople TODAY and for some reason, I'm thinking that they have an online food diary tool. At least I hope so.

4. Just before we left for vacation, I weighed myself and I was down 1lb already. Yippee! I tend to eat much better on vacation (I know, it's weird) and I've gotten a lot of swimming and walking activity in, so I'm hoping that next week's scale will be forgiving.

Goals for the upcoming week.
1. Lose 2 lbs
2. Actually join Sparkpeople
3. Work on the food diary
4. Get in at least 3 workouts

See you next week! Now, how did you guys do this last week? Remember, small accomplishments are still accomplishments. Don't let the lack of attaining large goals weigh you down and keep you from achieving even part of a goal!

Strong work, Angie! Hope you're having a great time at the beach. Did you bring any good books with you?

I played a hot and sweaty game of capture the flag with Elijah's fifth grade class on his field trip; that was definitely a workout (and I'm still sore today!).

Awesome job baby! So far this week I've been pretty good. Two Jillians and one 30 minute walk (it was necessary, the day after the first Jillian - in the sense that, if I ever wanted to walk again, I had to get moving, LOL!) Today's bout with Jillian was not nearly so bad as Monday's. Much stronger. And motivational mashed potatoes waiting for dinner (guilt free, with Jillian first) kept me going strong!

Did you HAVE to start with the fact that you're hanging out at Hilton Head? *sigh*

And YES Sparkpeople has an online food journal, including tons of brand name items and the ability to add in your own items. And track the nutrients you want to track (e.g., calcium, fiber, fat) in addition to just calories. GO. SIGN. UP. :)

You can track your workouts in the same manner. Get to it. It's a three minute process. Go. Now.

Well...I am in my 5th week of WW. It is sooo slow going. I have lost every week. But sometimes as little as .2 pounds. (Should that even be plural?!) But...this week, I lost 3.1. I am sure it's because it was the first week we did not go out to eat. I am now rather motivated to stay at home. I sooooo need an exercise program!

Great goals for this week, I am impressed if you just maintain your weight while on vacation.I just worked off my 3.lbs from my vacation two weeks ago.10lbs to go. I need to get more walking in.
