You visit me almost every night and make me laugh almost to the verge of tears, without fail. You held my hand through the crazy Presidential election and kept me from losing my mind. I love your interview style because it's more like a sit down with a friend, which is my style too. However, after what I just saw, well, you have some 'splaining to do.
You were giving Ariana Huffington a pretty hard time about her new book. And your feelings about blogging seemed pretty transparent to me. I realize that you don't "get it". That you're too busy with your t.v. show to do something silly like writing in the blogosphere. I know that you put a tremendous amount of heart and soul into your show and that's why so many of us love it and you. But, that same heart and soul is what bloggers also do with their writing. The topics might not be serious or life-changing in many cases, but it's each of us as individuals, putting ourselves out there, revealing our insides for all the world to see.
So, the next time Ariana asks you to blog for her, you should take her up on it! Who knows? You might just have a little gem to reveal that we would never see on your show, but it might make the difference in some one's day for the better.

i have seen his show in a while. for some reason i just never catch it... but i have been to a taping... not live though. but still good. :) my friends cousin worked there and got us in. :)
anyway... i love your letter and i honestly think you should print it and send it.. you never know.. it could get you in the audiance OR maybe on the show. :) could you imagine??? :)

I love Jon Stewart. Did you see that he just put out a Teacher's edition of his America book?? So very funny.
But he doesn't get blogging? People that don't get blogging...and social media...it's mind boggling. Of course, I know people that still don't email...
