Monday Morning Eye Candy - It's a Bird, It's a Plane!

I can always count on my issue of Entertainment Weekly to have at least 1 picture that brings a smile to my face. Imagine my extreme happiness, when I opened my mailbox and found Mr. British Dreamboat staring me back in the face.

Last week, it was announced that one of my fave hotties, Henry Cavill, will be the new Superman.

Now that's a super-hero smile that I can get behind.

Oh my. Henry, you're MY kryptonite.

My Golden Globes Recap

This year, I watched the Golden Globes with my BFF, who thankfully shares my opinions on fashion and entertainment. We had a blast shredding the horrible dresses & gaudy jewelry and dissing the winners that we didn't think were deserving. It was a good time.

However, the most important thing that I took away from this show, was the discovery of 3 exceptionally good looking actors that I was unaware of up until now. Allow me to introduce...

Because I am very excited about today.

Today, my bff & I are heading to Birmingham to party down (for the second time in 11 months) with a little band called Kings of Leon.

We adore them. We love their music. And frankly, there are a couple of boys in this band that are pretty easy on the eyes. Let's review.

First, we have the delicious Caleb Followill. The lead singer. The bad boy. Wow, can this boy sing. I could seriously listen to him croon for hours on end.

And my personal favorite is Jared Followill. The bassist. The youngest brother. He is just so adorably cute. Oh, and he plays the piano. Oh my swoon!

Happy Monday Morning! So, my efforts to get back on the blogging track last week weren't exactly successful. And so begins another week and another try to get this train back on track. Let's start with a little inspiration, er, motivation. Yeah.

This week I'm highlighting some leading men who have movies coming out soon. Let's review!

Tim McGraw
He has a movie called The Blind Side coming out and so help me, I cry every single time the preview comes on. I'll definitely be checking this one out. With a box of Kleenex.

John Cusack
This guy is like a fine wine. He just gets better with age. Oh, and his new movie is 2012. It looks REALLY scary. Hubby wants to see it, of course. Not because of John Cusack.

James Marsden
He's just so cute. I loved him in 27 Dresses. His new flick is The Box. His co-star is Cameron Diaz, who I don't really care for. I'll probably skip this one. Sorry James.

George Clooney
Oh my. His new movie is The Men Who Stare at Goats and it looks pretty darn funny. And it also stars the always delicious Ewan McGregor.

Monday Morning Eye Candy and an update

I'm trying to get back in the swing of things this week and what better way to start a week than a little eye candy. Here we go!

This French hottie broke onto the scene as Samantha's neighbor in the Sex & the City movie and became a household name during his stint on Dancing with the Stars. He is currently lighting up the screen with a multi-episode arc on Brothers & Sisters.

I know I've mentioned my love affair with "reality tv" before. Top Chef is a show that I've seen since it started several seasons ago. This season is a treat to watch each week as one of the best chefs is a total cutie! He's the chef/owner of VOLT in Maryland. One more reason I should plan a trip up north.

Ok, clearly I watch too much "reality tv". And I happen to love Bravo. And a ridiculous show called Million Dollar Listing. The show is made tolerable by this adorable young hotshot with the dazzling smile. And yes, I know he's very "pretty". Sigh.

Oh my head. I was really hoping that Grey's Anatomy would pull it together this season and give me a reason to watch each week. And here he is. This new cutie needs a "Mc" name and stat! And those eyes. Oh my...thud.

Now that we've started our week off with a bang, here's a little housekeeping.

Thank you all for the well-wishes for my kiddos (and me)! The girls are doing much much better and I've made it through with my sanity intact. I'm looking forward to heading back to the grind and sending the kids back to school!

Missed me?

I won't even bore you with the details as to why I've been so quiet for the past few weeks. Sometimes, life's just a roller coaster with more dips than peaks. In the meantime, I've been finishing up a book that I've been working on for 2 months now. Eclipse by Stephenie Meyer. It was great and I proceeded to go out & buy Breaking Dawn (the final book in the Twilight series) so I can wrap this up. Sigh. So, today's eye candy is a tribute to some of the new hotties from New Moon (opening November 20th...YAY!!) and Eclipse (opening June 30, 2010...YAY!!). Enjoy!

Charlie Bewley - Another hot vampire from England? I don't know if my little heart can take it. This gorgeous Brit will be playing Demetri.

Daniel Cudmore - Taking on the role of Felix is this Canadian cutie.

Jack Huston - This hottie proves that not just wolves & vampires corner the market on hot guys in these films. He plays Royce King in Eclipse.

Xavier Samuel - And yes, it's not just the Brits who have adorable guys. This adorable Aussie plays new vampire Riley in Eclipse.

Monday Morning Eye Candy

Sorry for the lack of eye candy for the past few weeks. I've been uninspired lately (and extremely busy), but hopefully the dry spell is now over.

First, there was Jake Ryan. Oh, how I loved Sixteen Candles and all the teen angst that it delivered. And Jake, well, SWOON! I think every teen girl of that era wanted to be Molly Ringwald, sitting on that table, enjoying that birthday cake.

And then I grew up a little and moved onto some bad boys. Jake Hanson fit the bill nicely. First he stole the heart of Kelly Taylor and then he stole mine. Jake, you bad, bad boy.

A few years after that, I was innocently working in the children's department of a store, when in walked THIS Jake. And I knew pretty early on that he would be the last Jake that stole my heart. And today, I send him big birthday wishes.

Monday Morning Eye Candy (and a bonus)

Hey y'all! Today is a very special edition of MMEC for a couple of reasons. I'm here to promote 2 very awesome things that are happening tomorrow!

Chris is a fantastic artist who made an awesome video for his version of the Kanye West song, "Heartless". Look it up on youtube. (And for the record, he did it before Kris on American Idol made it popular and I like both versions!)

Chris is being highlighted today because his highly anticipated EP is being released tomorrow and I for one cannot WAIT to hit iTunes to download it.

I know one person who might beat me to the punch though.

Recently, I heard about a new movie that will be coming out next year. The title is "Valentine's Day". Since I spend a ridiculous amount of time on IMDB, I checked this movie out and was delighted to learn 2 things.

1. The director is Garry Marshall and I just adore him

2. These are just a few of the delightful cast members

Yeah, it's a safe bet that you know where I'll be on opening weekend.

Some of you might already be readers of Cosmopolitan magazine, which means that you've probably seen the annual Hottest Eligible Bachelors issue. They choose a hot guy from each of the 50 states. It's a great issue.
