"What If" Wednesday

I've decided to bring back "What If" Wednesday because I've got a nasty sunburn on my face that I don't care to share with you by VLOG I'm in need of jogging my brain with some potentially tough questions. This book is great and you should check it out! Now, for this week's question.

"If you could choose the music at your own funeral, what would it be, and who would play it?"

See, I told ya it would be a tough question! There are actually 3 songs that I would like to have at my funeral. And here they are in no particular order.

1. Led Zeppelin's "Kashmir" - The lyrics really have no significant meaning to me, but this song is one that I've loved dearly for 20 years now. It calms me no matter what is going on in my life and transports me to a happier place.

2. Pink Floyd's "Comfortably Numb" - Again, the lyrics really mean nothing to me. This song reminds me of one of the most happy times in my life. It's very relaxing and I guess the title would be a little ironic as funeral tunes.

3. Clarke's "Trumpet Voluntary" - This is my absolute favorite piece of classical music. I walked down the aisle at my wedding to this piece and I want to leave this world with this being the last piece of music played in my memory.

So, what music would you choose?

No way! I also walked down the aisle to "Trumpet Voluntary"!

Although there was no trumpet. We hired a trio... guitar, flute and violin.

As for what music I would want played... this is hard! I'll have to think about it and come back...

One that must be played at mine will be the song "Sins" by Acid Black Cherry (you can hear it on my personal blog here if you scroll down to the bottom).

Some how got here through a circuitous route via SITS. So glad I did. Love the eye candy button. Guess that's how I made it here. I may need to do something like that.
Anyway, after roaming around your site and starting to write my comment, I didn't put much thought into the morbid question you posed. But, I like the Kashmir idea. Anyway, stop by my site it might give you a laugh. I will be back.

Angel by Sarah McLachlan, and then -- Love you 'till the end by the Pogues. In that order. :-)

That is a hard question though. I'm going to have to keep contemplating it...

"Funeral For A Friend" by Elton John, believe it or not, of course you will you know me, I've had this planned for years, LOL!!

Reading Jane's comment made me think of "Candle in the Wind" by Elton John. I almost think that would be kind of funny since it was played at Princess Di's memorial.

Actually, I've always loved the song "In My Life" by the Beatles. I wouldn't mind that being incorporated somehow.

This is a really good question. I'll have to give it some thought and get back to you with a better answer. :)

Oooo, that's a really good question. I have to say that I want bagpipes and harp. But not at the same time. And I want happy music. But sepcifics? That's a tough one... I don't know!
