Birthday Countdown - Giveaway 6

For the scoop on why I'm going all of these giveaways, click here.

I'm doing a week of giveaways just for y'all! Each day will be a different item. I'm giving away some of my favorite things. You can enter each giveaway as many times as you want. Yep, that's right. But, you have to leave a meaningful comment. Not just "pick me, pick me!" Compliments will score you brownie points. Telling me about your favorite birthday memory is a good one. What you like to give/get for birthdays are also good. Anything that you want to tell me.

All giveaways are sponsored by yours truly. All of these birthday giveaways will end at midnight on August 19th (my actual birthday) and winners will be emailed and announced here on the 20th. Good luck and make sure you check back daily for the newest giveaway announcement.

Giveaway Day 6

Most of my regular readers know how much I adore movies! If I could afford it (and had the time), I would be in a movie theater at least once a week, watching a feature on the big screen. There's just nothing like it!

My giveaway today is a $10 giftcard for Fandango. This is the service that I use to purchase a lot of my movie tickets online, especially if it's for a feature that I think might sell out. It's super easy to use and I hope one lucky winner will enjoy it!

THIS ONE! This one is screaming for my husband's stocking. I can just picture it sticking up on Christmas morning...

tracey.becker1@gmail.com said...

Or maybe my dad? He's a movie dude. And IMPOSSIBLE to shop for. I could attach it to some gift cards for popcorn and voila! Gift achieved.

Dang. I JUST. CAN'T. STOP.

Please know that I hope my harassment on your posts is intended to make your birthday special and fun. Really.

HAVE A GREAT BIRTHDAY!!

Hmmm, I could save these for November 20th.

I hope you're having fun with this giveaway, 'cause I'm feeling a little guilty that you're giving presents instead of receiving them...

Favroite movie of all times: The Story of Us.

Next movie to watch: the Hurt locker.

We saw G.I. Joe on Saturday night and it was surprisingly entertaining. Love me some Channing Tatum!!!!

OK this would be one way to take all 4 kids to the movie!!!!

Shannon said...

As you know, I've been watching trailers for some upcoming movies...

I really want to see "Couples Retreat". That one looks hilarious. And I think "It's Complicated" and the Aaron Eckhart/Jennifer Aniston (can't remember the name) one look good, too.

Of course, "New Moon", but that's a given...

Shannon said...

Are we still on for seeing "Time Traveler's Wife" with Kat?

Shannon said...

I could've just totally sent that last question to you in an email, but I've got to get some entries in! HA!

Oh - Time Travelers Wife is calling my name.....!

I used fandango for Twilight tickets last year. It was a bit more expensive but I wanted to be sure to get seats on opening night.

And we all know how that movie worked out...

Brandy said...

Have you realized that New Moon premiers the weekend AFTER EE?? Wouldn't that have been great to go together.

I'm crushed.

Mom Union said...

We see most of our movies through netflix, but lately there have been so many good movies out there that we can't wait for them to come out in video. I'd put these to use going to see District 9 or Final Destination 4.
Thanks!

You've been having some really fun giveaways this week! If I won I would use gift certificate to see District 9. I keep hearing great things about it.

I love going to the movie also but cant take my husband(he falls asleep when he gets still and snores so loud that people look at us funny,so embarassing) I have to take daughter or BFF.

Amber said...

My birthday falls on Leap Day (Feb. 29th) so it's rare that I even get to celebrate on the actual day. It doesn't involve movies, but when I was a little girl, my dad used to wake me up right at midnight so we could celebrate at 12:00 exactly and get just a tiny bit of birthday before it was 12:01 and March 1.

Sunnyvale said...

It would be a treat to "go to the movies" instead of popping in a DVD at home

CaraBee said...

We have managed to see three movies this month thanks to some enthusiastic grandparents who can't get enough of their grandbaby, giving us a night, or three, off. I just adore the movies.

Shannon said...

More I want to see:

The Young Victoria

The Boys Are Back (the trailer made me cry!)

Law Abiding Citizen

The Lovely Bones

Brothers

Girl, we are going to be having lots of mom-dates!!!

Why don't you and Shannon live closer?? Are we still going to see TTW this coming weekend?

Keys to the Magic Travel said...

Oh, I went on a mom date over the weekend. With my mom. And Lizzy. We saw Julie and Julia. It was fabulous!

Keys to the Magic Travel said...

You would not believe the number of previews we saw before the movie!

Oh...that Sandra Bullock movie - Blind Side - made me cry during the previews. I can't wait to see that one.

Keys to the Magic Travel said...

Or that new Meryl Streep/Alec Baldwin movie. It's Complicated? Is that what it's called?

He has aged well. I like him better older. And chunky.

Why can't women be more attractive as older and chunky? I belive that is a whole nother post...

cookiert said...

Happy Birthday! We don't get out to the movies often, and winning some free tickets would be a good excuse.

I never even thought of buying movie tickets online - what a great idea! Happy birthday!

Anonymous said...

We love to go to the movies, but it's sooooo expensive! My husband passed away almost 10 years ago and being a single mom to a teenage son is difficult enough without having to buy the extras that all teenagers want. This would really help the next time I have to hear (with the attitude, of course) "But MOOOOMMMM, EVERYONE ELSE is going, why can't I?!
Thank you for the contest--and Happy Birthday by the way!
