After your Books A Million story I am a true Barnes and Noble lover! I use to enjoy reading in a past life, but honestly I spend 90% of my Barnes and Noble dough on kid books. I LOVE LOVE LOVE buying new children books. I think I love them even more than Emma (and Ellie). I have raised readers b/c Ellie asks for books by name already! And not to brag but Emma was doing the sign language for book at 10 months old.

I love this one! My favorite author is James Patterson! And I recommend all of them. :)

I'm making my way through the True Blood series...slowly. Apparently they are very popular right now and so I have them on hold at the library.

-Water for Elephants
-Twilight and The Host

Awesome! Even with my Kindle obsession, there are still lots of things you can't (yet) get on Kindle, so I am still a huge fan of B&N! And I'm STILL begging you to read the Stephanie Plum books. BEFORE you read ANYTHING else, LOL!!!

(okay, so Jane and I both are begging!)

One of my favorite books of all time is The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky. I read it once a year for a few years there but I need to go back and read it soon. It's kind of a teen/coming of age story but I believe each time you read it, you find something new to relate too or enjoy...or at least I do.

lauren51990 at aol dot com

Shooting Stars Mag said...

Now, when it comes to adult books...I love paranormal romance a ton. You should try out Nice Girls Don't Have Fangs if you like that sort of genre. It's a vampire book but so very funny!!!

What a fun idea for a give away. You are so inventive. I had a giveaway last month, and the name of the person I drew never did respond to my contacts, so I am going to redraw this week. So sad when you try to join in the fun and kinda fall on your face! Have a great week! I enjoy following your blog, you are so down to earth, and just down right FUN!

Jen Lancaster is great -- have you read any of Lani Diane Rich's books? The Ex and the City (no S, really) was a great one. I just checked out her other two from the library. I was soooo entertained by the first one I picked up!

Books are the best! I know this sounds ridiculous, but I haven't really read anything since finishing the Twilight series because every book I pick up doesn't leaves me yearning for Edward ... oh, that really is pathetic ... but true, nonetheless. I think I need to spend sometime in the book store restoring my love for a good book!

What a SWEET idea! Hope your birthday is fabulous! And your blog doesn't look a day over 22. Swear to God.

Was that complimentary enough?

;)

Due to money being GONE this year, I am hoping to use any winnings I get from blog entries for Christmas presents. So, this gift card would probably end up buying my niece a new chapter book or my son "half" of the new Gregor the Overlander book.

Have you read that series?? AWE.SOME.

tracey.becker1@gmail.com said...

So. You said as many entries, right? I am awake. It is 11:36 pm and with a husband who works nights, I could write comments for hours. The REAL question, though, is how much am I willing to write for $10?

Apparently? A lot.

tracey.becker1@gmail.com said...

Oh, and another compliment: your blog is adorable. And your eyes are beautiful. Even though it may SEEM like I can't see your eyes through a computer screen, I TOTALLY can. I have mad skillz like that.

Just finished Brain Surgeon by Dr. Keith Black. Sounds boring but was a quick read and one of the best books I've ever read.

Barnes & Noble=lifesaver for me! My colicky baby would only quiet down during car rides, so back and forth to B&N we would go...with a quick stop to browse the store and get some java to keep mama sane!

I'm an English teacher, so this would be so great for me...I practically live there! We just read Water for Elephants with my book club, and it was loved by all and I highly recommend it. Thanks for the giveaway.

Books are an excellent birthday gift. DD was looking at a dessert cookbook with her birthday money the other day, but opted for something else. I'd love to surprise her with it.

I really don't care to get gift cards on my Birthday. It is so impersonal and really takes no thought or effort.

Would use gift card to get new 39 Clues for my son -- he loves the series

I sure do wish b&n did kindle books! However, you will never be able to replace the good 'ol pages of an actual book!
