Monday Morning Eye Candy

Welcome back to Monday Morning Eye Candy! Last week was a big week in the world of hot guys. One of my favorite periodicals, People Magazine, announced their annual pick for Sexiest Man Alive. And so, in honor of this big event, my good buddy Shannon, recommended that we take a stroll down memory lane and remember some of the hotties that have been bestowed with this honor in the past.

John F. Kennedy, Jr. - Oh my, this guy was so cute. I remember my heart sinking when his marriage to Carolyn Bessette made the news. And feeling sick when the news of their airplane disappearance made the news also. Such a sad story.
Tom Cruise - Speaking of sad stories, what HAPPENED to this guy?!?! He used to be so cute and not a complete nut-job. So sad. I prefer to immortalize him as my Maverick. Sigh.

Patrick Swayze - Ok, I've just realized that this list has taken a decidedly downward spiral. Patrick will always be my Johnny Castle and I'll be his Baby anytime. I hope his cancer goes into remission because he would sorely be missed. Ok, we need some good news, STAT!

Brad Pitt - Ok, I'm like the only female on the planet that doesn't see what is so ga-ga about this guy, but I know I'm in the minority. So here, enjoy. I must say though, his stock has gone up since I've seen him in the daddy role. Despite the fact that he apparently cheated on Jen with Angelina. I'm not a big fan of Jen.

George Clooney - Now here's a guy I can get behind. Classic good looks and destined to be an eternal bachelor. I once read an article about some of the practical jokes he's pulled on a friend of his and I was in tears from laughing so hard. I love a guy with a serious sense of humor.

Matt Damon - Again, it's the sexy daddy role that cinches it for me. That, and he was smokin' hot in the Bourne movies. Swoon!

Hugh Jackman - Drumroll please! This guy is just the whole package. Sexy daddy, devoted hubby, humble, hunky and the fab Australian accent. People, you got it right this year!

Well, that wraps up this week's hotties. For those who only visit here on Monday's, I wish you a wonderful Thanksgiving week! See you next week, same time, same channel.

I'm in the minority right along with ya... I've never understood the attraction to Brad Pitt. He's just a bit too pretty for me. Now I do think he was hot in Mr & Mrs Smith... but I think he was cheesy in Troy. Or maybe I was just focusing on Eric Bana. And Orlando Bloom ;)

Absolutely 100% agree with you on Hugh Jackman. Yep, I've said it too, a man who is completely in love with his wife and kids is just downright sexy. Amen.

And JFK Jr... sigh. I remember where I was when I heard about his plane... Shane and I were having lunch at Blimpie's and the news came over the radio station... so sad :(

Never really noticed Hugh but when I saw snipets of the photo shoot for Sexiest Man I was like, mmm, okay, I'm gettin' it. Used to like Tom Cruise alot but he just started getting toooooo out there personally. Still like some of his flicks though. Never did understand the Brad Pitt frenzy either.
Have a great week. :)

Sigh. Hugh. Jackman. My People arrived Friday. And my children immediately absconded with it. This is Katie's favorite issue. I need to figure out what they did with it.

And George Clooney. Every time I read an interview with him, I just bust out laughing. I love the competition between him, Brad Pitt, and Matt Damon to be the sexiest man...

Oh this is a good week.. and I just realized why.. because these guys are middle aged... and I... am... getting there...

oh my

But really, I'll take each and every one of these (the alive ones) well... and honestly, I'd take Tom if he promises NOT to talk...

Brad... I come and go on him. (Shut up and get your minds out of the gutter)... sometimes I get it, sometimes I don't. I don't get Angelina though... she creeps me out.

I never liked Mr. Cruise, even before he lost his marbles...

Clooney on the other hand... and Pitt... I'd get behind either of them... or in between them... yes, that would be nice....

Did Shannon say "cheesy" in Troy. Hello - he's golden and scultped AND they show his naked bum in the beginning scene. That alone makes it worth the price of admission. What I could do with those abs. ~swoon~

Hugh Jackman...not so much.

I had to surrender the Tom Cruise fantasy for the most part after the couch jumping incident, and then permanently after the scientology video surfaced. What a nut job.

I can't believe you aren't a Brad Pitt fan. Have you SEEN "Legends of the Fall." Holy guacamole. I've never seen a more beautiful man.

That was a NICE group of hotties. Brad Pitt is adorable. As is George Clooney. But they're getting old. hehe

I'm in the minority! I'm in the minority!!!! Could care less about Pitt...seriously.

And I broke up with Matt Damon a few months ago...he just got all ridiculous with the election stuff so I was all, "Dude...whatever...you're a nutjob..."

But give me sane Tom and delicious Hugh, George, and Patrick anyday--those are REAL men, my friend.

Oh...RIP JFK Jr. What a loss...sigh...

Loved it!! Great edition. Though I agree, I am not a Brad Pitt fan either. He's hot, but he will always be a cheating a$$hole in my book. I love Jen Aniston and I hate what he did to her. I heard recently that Angie and Brad had the kids watching Mr. & Mrs. Smith (or whatever it's called) because they wanted the kids to see the movie "where mommy and daddy fell in love." BARF. That is so wrong.

GRrRRR!

(But love the rest of the cuties, esp. George Clooney!)
