A Fraud Exposed

I thought long and hard about writing this post. I feel as though it's necessary to make this public service announcement as I don't want anyone else to go through what I've gone through in the last 24 hours.

I signed up to participate in a swap last month and an international participant asked to join in. Due to this person being from Britain (and we all know how much I love the Brits), I volunteered to be partnered with this person. I shopped and gathered items that made up a great package and then spent an exorbitant amount of money to ship the package to England. And then I waited. And waited. And waited for my swap package to be delivered and for my partner's package to arrive. My package was delivered to my partner over a week ago and I have nothing. And now this person claims to have never received my package (I have delivery confirmation that shows it WAS delivered) and admits that they never sent me anything even though this person told the swap hostess my package was shipped well over a week ago. LIAR!

The reason I figured out that this person is a scam artist is because this individual signed up for the swap that I am hosting here. This person signed up for my swap with 2 different names, a different email and different blog address, but the same exact mailing address. So, I'm here to expose them for the thief that they are and to hopefully spare someone else out there from the same misfortune that I suffered. Please feel free to cross-post this as I want as many people to benefit from this information. Here is the crook's information.

Aliases used: Helen Colley, Rose Colly, Marie Jones

Emails used: rosencoffee@googlemail.com, rosencoffee@gmail.com, helenc1973@googlemail.com

EDITED TO ADD: Anyone who thinks that they are being defrauded by this person is welcome to email me at angiemnye {at} gmail {dot} com and verify the mailing address that this person has given to you. The address given to me is in the United Kingdom. I did have it posted here, but had to remove it according to Google's Terms & Conditions. Hopefully this setback won't give the crook a leg up on scamming someone else in the meantime.
