My thoughts are a scary place to be today. Proceed with caution.
I'm beginning to think that I'm living in the Twilight Zone with the crazy effin weather we've had for the last few months. We've had record snowfalls and 2 tornadoes, just to hit the highlights. If I see locusts, I'm getting the hell out of here...quickly.
Speaking of crappy weather, mother nature is just trying to piss me off now by cutting the power to my DVR for the better part of a whole day. So far, I've missed Oprah's Post-Oscar show and the next to last episode of The Bachelor, among other things that I wanted to tape today. And the electric company had the nerve to give me attitude when I called to inquire as to when I could expect to have lights again. BIG mistake. BIG. HUGE. (name that movie)
And why is it that I lose power for an extended period of time the day after I make a big grocery run? Damn it.
I finally broke down and had a Coke to drink. First one in almost 2 weeks. Man, am I going to have a serious headache tomorrow. That is if I ever unwind and get to sleep tonight thanks to this massive caffeine high.
I watched the Oscars last weekend and my overall impression was Pffffttttttt. James Franco would've been hard pressed to show any less interest in being there. Anne Hathaway (who I think is precious) just seemed like a giddy schoolgirl, in way over her head. And how could they leave Corey Haim out of the "In Memoriam" tribute? A load of crap. However, I was happy about most of the winners.
Wow, this week's thoughts have a decidedly negative, bitchy tone. Yikes. I'd better stop here before things get really ugly. See ya next week. Same bat time...same bat channel.

Movie - Pretty Woman.
Oscars - seriously, James Franco was about a nano-second shy of actually ROLLING his eyeballs. Ugh. he was AWFUL. Hathaway was cute, but just all wrong for it. I was watching the View today and they all seemed in agreement that hosting really requires a comedian... they need to be able to think on their feet and respond to what's happening during the show. And yes.. the Corey Haim thing - that was upsetting. All in all I wasn't happy with the actual show, but I was happy with the winners...
I hope your weather evens itself out soon.
I did love the spoof on the "musicals" of 2010...did you see Jacob's abs? Hello, handsome!
I'm not sure how you survived without Coke. I have changed to Coke Zero, which I now can't live without.
Totally missed the Bachelor. Who got voted off the island this week?
Hope the week only gets better for you...Angela's baby comes today, right?!
i'm glad i skipped the oscars - i haven't heard good things.
bummer about your power. I hate when that happens. speaking of, i need to go pay my electric bill.
I honestly didn't think the show was bad. It surely wasn't the best one I've seen... and yes, I agree it was mostly because of the "hosts". Which surprised me, because of the 2 (or 3?) promos I saw, it looked like Franco and Hathaway had pretty good chemistry and would be funny. Hmmm.
And OMG WHY AM I STILL AWAKE?!
