Well, the time has finally arrived (actually is was here 3 weeks ago) and I'm posting the gratuitous first day of school photos. This was a really big year for us for a few reasons.
First we have Big A at her new school. The school that I might have been stressing and complaining and losing sleep over getting her into for the last, say, 18 months. Phew. She is finally an official student there and she LOVES it! This Pre-K class is like Kindergarten. She goes 5 days a week (full school days) and she's taking Spanish, Science, PE, Music and all sorts of other fun things. She has homework and field trips and we couldn't be happier with how this is all working out!
And then we have Little A who is thrilled to be in her new classroom at the same preschool that she attended last year. She's in a "big kid" room that's seen a lot of changes. This preschool's curriculum is based on the Reggio Emilia style of learning. It's fabulous and we're really lucky to have a director who is so committed to constant education of this concept and it's applications to our little school.
The girls are off to a great start to a very busy school year! I'm quite certain there will be many pics this year of activities because both schools have very busy social schedules. Yay!!

I miss HPUMP, sigh.
And I am soooooo glad Big A is liking her school!!
Your little A and my Madalyn appear to have the flair for the dramatic when it's time to take a picture!
And what is up with the sticker over you in Big A's pic???
Your Girls are just too CUTE! School and Boys are way different than school and girls...I think. Three weeks of Kindergarten and my Native wants to Know when it all will be over. He is ready for summer again...LOL
I love little A's classroom. It looks very bright & airy, not like most classrooms you see.
Is the apple covering a boob? :)
Oh they are so cute. And *sigh* they have such nice hair (I'm still jealous of that in children).
I'm so jealous that you got into your preschool. There wasn't even a lottery for ours this year, so we didn't. We are in the Catholic school, which is great for Mister Man but $$$$ I didn't want to spend! Enjoy it!
I am hoping that my girls will join ranks with the Normal Parkers. We are hoping to sell and move down there soon. My Big E seriously misses your Little A. She keeps asking when she gets to go to Little A's school. I keep telling her L-A goes to the same school just on different days. That is a hard concept.
Oh MY what drama in Little A's pose! Such cuties! I love them both and am so happy you guys were able to get into NP. I know that's where you wanted to be and it sounds like a great place!
Could these two get any cuter?!
No, I think not ;)
oh they are so cute!
Your girls are so cute. Glad school's going well so far!!
