It's that time again everyone! Let's see how I did this last week. Here's a hint.
Yeah, THAT good. This week is sponsored by this fabulous Red Ribbon Cake that I enjoyed during game night at Shannon's last night. And that piece missing, well, it was on my plate. Sigh.
I meant to mention last week that I've decided to only weigh in once a month. I'm really hoping that will help me stay away from the scale and becoming obsessive about it. Moving on...
1. Get in 3 workouts - FAIL
2. Cook a nutritious recipe - FAIL
3. Get the book that my Dr suggested - WIN
I don't know why I keep forgetting to mention this book that I keep talking about. It's called "The Flat Belly Diet". It's from the people at Prevention magazine and what I've read so far makes a lot of sense. It starts you off with a 4 day jumpstart that is supposed to prevent bloating and then it gives you a 4 week meal plan that is supposed to drop those lbs and inches like crazy. I'm a little afraid of some of the food choices (because I'm a very picky eater) but I'm determined to give this 100% effort. So, let's check out the goals for this week.
1. Do the 4 day jumpstart to this diet
2. Get in 3 workouts
Now, tell me how YOU did this week! I need to celebrate someone's achievement (no matter how small). And good luck to you all this week!

Okay that cake looks too good to pass up so don't be too hard on yourself.
I put that book on reserve at the library & I'm curious to see what the jumpstart is all about. I'm pretty picky when it comes to food too...meaning that I hate ALL seafood and most diets call for some kind. Bleck.
Sometimes cake is necessary, and that one looks yummy. You have no idea how long I was searching for a peanut butter cup yesterday and managed to fail in finding one. I guess I lucked out there in spite of myself. :-)
Let us know how this diet goes. I'm interested.
Hmmm...I'll have to check out that book and see what they have to say. I am all about a little jumpstart. I got back on track this week...or I am still trying. But I am avoiding the scale like crazy.
Hmmm... maybe we should have had that veggie tray last night, LOL! ;)
Ah, well. We just need to get back on track this week. We can do it!
Let's see. I only gained half a pound in Savannah. Does that count as a small accomplishment, LOL!?
I'm officially working the Abs Diet now. I love it so far and have combined its principles with the book I was telling you about by the dr. So it's higher protein, higher calcium, moderate carbs and lots of strength training for my future, LOL!
