Welcome back to "Trim the Fat" Thursday!
This is your chance to blog about your adventures in weight loss and link up so we can all support each other in this little endeavor!
Here's my recap of the last week.
Here are my goals from last week and the results.
1. Get in another yoga workout - YAY! I accomplished this happily. Yoga is my FAVORITE activity, hands down.
2. Keep working on the food journal - I'm not as disciplined as I would like to be, but I'm doing much better with the food log. I need to get in the habit of logging things before I eat them. (That should also help me with portion control)
3. Not obsess with the scale - I'm happy to report that I only weighed myself twice in the last week, which is heads above what I've been doing. Several of you suggested measurements as my progress gauge, which I think is a great idea!
And I'm ecstatic to report that I lost a lb from last week. Yay me!!
This week's goals:
1. Get in 3 workouts
2. Take measurements for progress gauge
3. Try a new recipe that is healthier than my usual fare
So, how did you guys do this week? Link up here and good luck to everyone this week!

Congrats on the loss! I've never tried yoga but I might have to check it out since exercise is my downfall.
I like your last goal...have you ever checked out Eat Better America? They have "healthified" recipes for some classic foods that might be work checking out.

I'm so inspired by you and Kat. I need to be doing all of this. But I'm not.
However, I did have a Zone bar for breakfast. At least I started the day off decently. Let's see how long it lasts.
Very good girl, break that scale habit, try just on Thursday when you post. When I was at my worst I weighed myself 6 times a day, ugly!!
Glad you're liking the yoga and does it really help you relax??
Now I'm gonna check out the link from Brandy!
Good for you!! I have never done yoga. I don't think that my body is made to contort that way :-)
I am so off my bloggy game these days. We are so busy with swim team and other kid stuff...that I have not had time to even think of what to blog about. I need to at least get on the ball and blog about this today!
I'm going to give the yoga another shot... of what little I did, it was ok.
Woo hoo on the lb lost!
And I think doing measurements to track your progress is a good idea. I need to step away from the scale, too!
Way to go!!!!!!
The scale habit is HARD. :-) I am chicken to blog about my weight loss adventures, though I've lost 9 lbs in the last month. I even lost 2 while on vacation! HA!
Keep up the good work!
I'm new here... came over from Jane's blog. I am SO joining in next week! I need something to motivate me to get in shape, & if I have to post every week, then maybe I'll be motivated to do something! haha
Congrats on your loss AND making many of your goals for the week.
I just jumped over from Kat's site and I'm glad I did.
I need to be doing something more too - loss and gain of the same 4/5 lbs is getting old. I just found Fullbar at Costco's that I am trying. It really does make you feel full so you eat so much less (even of the things you love)
I will definitely be back to check on you ladies and see how you are doing.
Great job! I have done pretty decently this week as far as food and except for a couple of minor dietary indescretions (one called Ben and the other, Jerry). Oh, and Monday was not great - that was the day we traveled home from FL. I started off fine with a Zone breakfast of eggs, toast and fruit, and stuck with my planned lunch of a turkey, cheese and avocado sandwich. But somewhere around west central Georgia, I made a frightening detour into the Goldfish, Dove chocolates with almonds and ohmygoshFRIES when we stopped at McDonald's. At least I was not alone. The other occupants of the car had chocolate shakes and/or an enormous McCafe creation that looked like it had about 5,000 calories :-) At least I only ended up facedown in the fries!
Great job, Angie! I love yoga -- my other favorite is belly dancing and now soul grooves at my local club. And wow -- 603 calories in 1 hour in my last soul grooves class... but it's totally doable. I'm still scratching my head on how doing so much work is so much fun!
If you're tracking on Spark, look for some of the recipes I put up. The majority are pretty healthful, and best of all -- they're already logged in with all the nutritional info, which makes it easier to log :)
Keep it up!
1 pound is still great!
1 pound is awesome, good for you!
Ok, Angie, I'm new here, and starting with you guys...at 153. I've got 25 to go...I've tried every diet in the world. Not doing it this time! This time it's healthy eating, cutting portions, more water, adding exercise and just cutting out snacks, most extra carbs, and all desserts! Let's see if that will work? We will watch the results together ok?
