Mamarazzi's Favorite Things Swap

It's that time of year again! I participated in Mamarazzi's Favorite Things Swap last year and am so excited that I will be participating again next month!

This swap is all about packaging up your favorite things and sending them to your partner who might be completely across the country. It's about making new friendships with another blogger out there and sharing things that mean a lot to you. I can't wait!

If you would like to participate in this year's swap, hurry over to Mamarazzi's blog and read the rules for signing up. Her swaps fill up very fast and she does a great job at organizing them. Enjoy!

A few of her favorite things

Last month, I had the opportunity to join a swap that Mamarazzi was hosting. The theme was "My Favorite Things" and I was so excited to join in the fun! My partner's name is Dawn and her adorable blog can be seen here. Dawn & I have very similar interests, which made me know immediately that I would love whatever she sent me.

And then today arrived! Look at what the postman brought me. I love big boxes!

Did you hear that squeal with delight? Yeah, that was me. I love boxes full of wrapped presents! And this box was FULL.

Like I said, the box was FULL of goodies! Some of my favorites included some beauty products that I've been wanting to try, handmade note cards, and most importantly, CHOCOLATE.

Thank you so much Dawn for making this swap experience wonderful and fabulous! You rock! Now, I'm off to enjoy another truffle. That is unless my hubby has already finished them off.

Who needs a pick me up? That's right, it's me!

Ok, sorry for yesterday's post where I ranted and raved and got a lot off my chest. I was telling Angela this morning that I woke up today feeling a lot better and like a weight had been lifted. Hallelujah! So, let's focus on the positive.

There is a lot in my life that makes me happy and smile from ear to ear. One thing in particular is the opportunity to give to others! And so, I'm participating in Mamarazzi's Favorite Things swap to kick start my happiness this weekend. Check out the fun that you can join in on too!

My Favorite Things

I participated in a swap recently, that was orchestrated by my buddy Kat. This was SUCH a great idea! (Which of course means I will be stealing the idea for an upcoming swap of my own) The premise was purchasing some of my favorite things that I would in turn send to my swap pal. And the person who got me, sent me some of her top choices. Don't you just love the badge that Kat made for this. She too has discovered the greatness that is Picnik.

So yesterday, after an afternoon at work, I fought traffic all the way home and almost ran out of gas. (I frequently find myself operating my car on gas vapor. It drives hubby crazy.) Anyway, when I finally made it home, there was a package on my doorstep. Woo hoo! I love packages!
And so I tore into that thing, while talking to Shannon (who was insanely jealous that her swap package had not yet arrived). My swap pal is a cool chick named Brandy! She became a grandma for the first time yesterday, so go visit her and check out her gorgeous granddaughter.
Anywho, here's the box of goodies that Brandy sent me.

She included a tiara (because every woman should feel like a princess), some Fall leaf salt/pepper shakers, a beautiful pair of red votive holders and some yummy gingerbread and pumpkin candles to burn in them. I got some WAY cute mini cookie cutters in Fall shapes, a pair of crazy striped socks (that my oldest is trying to commandeer), a pretty Fall hand towel, some awesome lip gloss and a green pumpkin full of Hershey Kisses. Yummy!!
My many thanks to Kat for orchestrating this swap and to Brandy for being a way cool partner! I only hope that the pal that I mailed to is as happy with her goody box as I am with mine.
