I have a secret. One that I've kept for a really long time. And it has to do with this little movie that you might be familiar with.
It's no secret that I'm a huge fan of this movie. It's also no secret that I enjoy a good looking guy.
I'm here to admit that I have harbored a secret crush on Christopher Plummer for about 20 years now.
He is so dashing in this movie! So strong, yet endearing. And the scene where he finally admits his love for Maria. Oh.my.swoon!
So, there you have it. Now you know why I rarely change the channel when this movie is on. And why I'm trying to figure out some way to install a gazebo in my yard.

And you know who else I swoon over? A young Gregory Peck. Be still my heart...
I *think* he the voice of Charles Muntz in the Disney movie, Up. If I am correct he sounds ancient, like two steps past old. It will break your heart. I would IMDB him and see if he has been in anything lately.
I've never seen this musical. Never interested me...

I love this movie...and I can't believe you have a reader that has never seen it. We watched it last night...right after we finished "Inglorious basterds" - quite the dichtomy on nazi movies :-)

I'm a sucker for Jimmy Stewart in "It's a Wonderful Life". I know he's kinda goofy looking, but how can you not just fall in love with that whole story?
I didn't see The Sound of Music until I was 25. However, I saw Somewhere in Time with a young, hot Christopher Reeve and the bad guy was Christopher Plummer. So he's always been kind of a bad guy to me.
My old guy crush? Cary Grant. Sure he's been dead for like a hundred years, but he was so dreamy back in the day. WAY back in the day.
I totally understand. I loved him in that movie as well. It came on the other night, but I lost the battle over the remote (grrr!!) ah well. At least I had your post to get my fix of Captain VonTrapp!
