It was another non-exciting week of television. Boo. I'm almost embarrassed to list some of the shows that I've had to resort to watching during this horrible summer hiatus. (Tori & Dean, Ice Road Truckers, need I go on?) Anyway, I saw 3 more movies this last week and here's my assessment.
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull - This falls into the category of 2 hours of my life that I'll never get back. HORRIBLE movie. And let me just say that Raiders of the Lost Ark is one of my favorites as is IJ & the Last Crusade. I love Harrison Ford and Cate Blanchett, but they both were just awful in this flick. The story was just way too out there for my taste and the dialogue just seemed ridiculous. Two thumbs way down.
Religulous - I really debated on whether to even list this one. Reason being that when I started this blog, I decided that 2 things I would never discuss here are religion and politics. Like many people, I have strong feelings on both topics, but I prefer to keep them private, just as I do in my everyday life. So, without getting on a soapbox, let me say that I loved this movie. I would recommend it only to people who are VERY open minded about religious doctrines and who think Bill Maher is funny.
Seven Pounds - I have been waiting a long time to see this movie. And I feel like I can't reveal anything about it without spoiling something for anyone who hasn't seen it. I give it two thumbs up and recommend you keep tissues nearby. This one even caused hubby to shed a few tears.
I'm in the process of reading 2 books currently that I hope to have reviews on next week along with more movies. Have a great week of entertainment y'all!

Confession.... resorted to watching a few minutes of "Swamp Loggers" last night.... even the boys didn't finish that one, LOL!! I'm burying myself in books for the summer!!!
Interesting picks. Think I might check out Seven Punds sounds good.
Saw "Up" last week. Bawled my eyes out. At a Disney movie. Yep, I'm a sap.
Watched the Trueblood premier; a little disappointed, I must say.
Re-reading Outlander, 'cause it's one of my favorite books of all time.
I've never seen any of those movies BUT I did pick up the Jen Lancaster book yesterday...
I've read two chapters & I already LOVE her! She's a riot.
IF you are a Jason Statham Fan, or you like really hot men, you have to see Transporter 3. I didn't think it was possible for him to get MORE buff than he already is but WOW!
We watched Seven Pounds last week, too. I really liked it. But you are right...you just can't even begin to talk about the plot of this one without giving it all away.
I need to add Religulous to my netflix queue.
Indy was okay...we saw it in the theatre...right after Katie had watched all the others on dvd. It was fun to see it with her...but it could have been so much better! I think the whole point was to create a backstory for a new generation of Indy movies...
I agree with you on Indy. LOVED the first 3 movies. But this one was totally unbelieveable. Even the addition of Shia couldn't save it from sucking.
My sister recommended Seven Pounds... she said it was good.
And I see we have another Jen Lancaster fan! woo hoo!
